The next thing you’ll want to do, if you are just starting out, is to organize your learning. For example, one week you might spend time learning AdWords, and the next week you can focus on article marketing tactics and strategies. Another week you can learn list building and how to set up an autoresponder and market to a list etc. Doing this is almost like following an organized ‘classroom schedule’ and it will make your learning much more progressive, so you are able to take action faster.
Once you have the all-important great idea and you know it is perfect for you, start collecting as much information as possible. Look online, at your local library and in bookstores for information that relates to your business. Find a person that is already successful in your field and ask him or her for guidance. They may even surprise you by offering to be your mentor. Many websites are available online to aspiring entrepreneurs, so if you can’t find a role model in your own market, you likely will be able to in another state or country. Take advantage of their ideas and advice. It pays to do your homework!
Have a posture of success. Play the game as if you’ve already won. Even if you haven’t done anything yet, you can still position yourself at the top through comp plans and associating with other leaders who are at the top. That posture of success will also have an impact on where you are coming from. Imagine this, your doorbell rings, it’s the mail-man with your residual earnings check for the month. You tell your partner or spouse that you’re going to the bank (who is now home with you as well), you get in your new car and drive away with the peace that everything is going to be Ok. It’s a good feeling and it’s just fine to know that you have the potential to create whatever your family needs.
You have a valid reason to question the partnership. There are a lot of cases of partnerships not complementing well with one another. It’s hard to have two businesses work together. More often than not, it results to failures to the partnership. Although there are times when there is at least one partner who succeeds. But that defeat the purpose of a partnership wouldn’t it?
Many people try different ways to earn money online, but they hardly get any success, therefore they cannot be happy with their selves. Where do you keep these cheat sheets? Well, you can keep them just about anywhere. You can put them into Word or you can put them into an Excel spreadsheet. There are even some software programs out there, called mind mapping software, that you can get to handle it. Now, the example I gave you above is a simple one. But what if your task is designing a web site? There is a lot of work involved in such a project and the last thing you want to do is leave any of it to your memory.
The fact is that 90% of businesses fail in the first few years. This is a shocking figure, and there are many places that will say no – don’t start a business, you will fail. It seems apparent. In fact tell anyone you want to go in business, and many will give you such negative talk. This is not just apparent in business, it happens in MLM, all home business opportunities and anywhere in life.
Just as you get breaks when you work outside the home, you need breaks when you work at home. Get up, stretch, play with the kids, do a little exercise, do something other than work. You really will be more productive if you give your mind and body the breaks you require.
